Set front 2 door seals - Series Forever solution

Suitable for Serie 2 & 3. The kit is designed to make the 2 front doors (driver and passenger).
The kit includes:
- 7 meters of rubberized profiles
- 8 aluminum slats of 1 meter
- 2 traditional profiles, in more rigid and resistant rubber, for the door sills (1 left side, 1 right side).
- The kit does not include 4.76 x 11.2mm rivets (reference 78248ALU), as the number needed varies from car to car.
How to proceed?
1. Remove the old door seals.
2. First rivet the lower door seal, left and right.
3. The new seal will respect the length of the old seal. So don't try to make a whole amount in 1 piece. First cut the aluminum slat to size, using the bodywork as a template.
4. Bevel the edge of the slat that will fit into the rubber profile.
5. Place the slat on the body, and using a marker, mark the locations of the holes for the rivets. On the slat, identify the side that will face up or down. This will prevent you from positioning your slat in the wrong direction during assembly.
6. Point, drill the holes on the slat, well in the center of the width, with a 5mm bit. Preferably use a pedestal drill and secure the batten in a bit so that it does not move during the drilling operation.
7. Insert the aluminum slat into the rubber profile. If necessary, lubricate the slat with a little grease, soapy water,...
8. Reposition the assembly on the body. Pierce the rubber with a scriber or pointed screwdriver, and insert the rivet (4.76 x 11.7mm). Rivet the rivet in place.
9. Proceed to the next hole. Tip: do not rivet the ends and then the center rivets. Start from one end, and follow the order by advancing towards the opposite end.

Here is our solution for replacing door seals. The advantage of this technique is to have seals that allow the carefree closing of your doors (unlike pirate refabrication seals). It takes more time to assemble, but the result is superb, for a lower cost.

The rubber profile is made in Belgium, especially for us. We are the only ones to offer it for sale.
